Whats this? I finally gave in and made a Destiny 2 DBH au? Yeah. I did. (Ima call it D2+DBH for short)

Bits of the designs (mostly Connor) are inspired by @ygreczed-3 ‘s TRGATSA au which I think is super cool (big fan of magic stuffs) thank you again for letting me use your design as inspo!

ANYWAY the idea is that everything is the same except the fact that Exos look like Androids. Exos creation by the darkness and Bray’s nonsense is still part of it (considering making Kamski as Bray, but i haven’t fully thought of it since who would be Elizabeth and all that yknow) so this au isnt very planned out yet, it was just mostly because I wanted to make Connor and Nines into some warlocks (I WILL MAKE MARKUS AND KARA AND THE WHOLE SHABANG LATER) so yeah the way Exos work in this is instead of just how fully and properly is in Destiny, Exos in this au work the same way as original, but they all have specific models instead of the different variety like in the game. So there would be lots of people who look the exact same because they are Exos, of course hair colour and eyes and such are different but overall theyre the same. So, say Kara right? AX400, thats one of the models, and thats what she looks like. Theres alot of other people who look like her, just like how in original DBH theres alot of her model. And the D2+DBH au Exo models, unlike the proper Destiny 2 Exos, were built with specific purposes, and Bray (Kamski..?) selected the person right before turning them into an Exo to see what model they’d fit best

Example, Kara was a simple woman who didnt come from a good family, so she left it to volunteer for Bray’s Exo experiment. Bray saw that she was nothing but a simple woman, and made her the average AX400 model. Simple. Just like her

Connor and Nines were friends when they both decided to volunteer for Bray’s experiment. They went by different names at the time, but neither of them in the present can remember anything. (Connor as a human being name Bryan would be kinda funny, and Nines would be Richard when he was human) Connor and Nines were part of the RK line, Bray made them specifically for helping humans with “detective” work and such so their pre-programmed minds are more intricate and aware, but with the Vex invasion at Bray’s Exoscience facility, they had to fight alongside Myrmidon’s, Trojan’s, TR400’s, TW400’s and WB400’s and a bunch of others as extra support. Hence why their numbers are 51 and 87. Thats alot of times to be reset. They remember nothing of their friendship. Or even eachothers existence. And when Connor woke up (previously 50, now awaken as 51) he was a guardian. Later on Nines will follow up and join the guardian crew (little funnies, Nine actually woke up as a guardian on his 86th reset, but he messed with some Fallen by accident and they learned to reset him, making him new again just as he was beginning to learn the light properly. His Ghost was not happy about it) Connor and Nines meet at the Tower and because theres not many RK models walking around (especially since most of them died during the multiple wars and their bodies were used up during the Vex attack at Bray’s facility) they easily noticed eachother like “oh my god, another me model, that’s something you dont see everyday” and it seemed they clicked easily like old friends. (I wonder why hmmmm)

✦MARKUS wouldn't play along with the mistaking of the reader as an android prototype. He would maintain his composed demeanor and correct them by responding "Excuse me, They're human, not an android." in a calm tone.

Like Markus, ✦NORTH doesn't find the situation amusing and is more blunt and straightforward. She'd reply to the person saying that "They're actually human." Since she doesn't have the patience for playful fabrication and prefers to correct the misunderstanding directly.

✦SIMON would likely be the voice of reason in this situation. He might try to politely correct the misunderstanding, but if the reader insists on going along with it, Simon would likely play along in a lighthearted manner. He might say something like "Ah yes, The RK series that's programmed to have an insatiable love for puppies and kittens that they can't resist cuddling them and giving them belly rubs whenever they see them."

✦JOSH would likely approach the situation with a sense of humor and wit, I feel like he's just that kind of guy y'know? He would probably enjoy the opportunity to engage in some playful banter with the mistaken individuals and come up with clever responses on the spot. He might say something like "Yes, they're known for their extraordinary ability to recite Shakespearean sonnets on demand, and they have an advanced feature that allows them to instantly analyze any cheese and provide a detailed critique. Quite cutting-edge, wouldn't you say?"

DBH characters with actor/ess reader who played a deviant hunter in a sci-fi series

So, the idea I had for this is that the reader (can also be an OC) played a deviant hunter in a low-budget sci-fi series. The series was created by the reader and their good friend. Since they were broke college students at the time, all of the actors were their family members, friends and acquaintances.

The reader has stage fright and isn't comfortable in front of the cameras, so they don't speak/they have barely to no lines in the show. Their moves are also very robotic because of the fear, which ends up being a good thing for the character they are portraying.

As time passes, the reader gets more comfortable being on camera, which comes off as the "deviant hunter" becoming more human. (I would still like to keep the reader from speaking unless strictly necessary since it would be OOC for the "deviant hunter")

The series was posted on a site like YouTube (idk if they have YT in the game).

It wasn't very popular, but it gained a cult following.

After the revolution, a film studio contacted Reader and friend and offered to fund a remake. The studio also gave Reader and friend crew, equipment and everything else they needed. The catch is that they need to bring back the original cast.

After a stressful couple of months of filming and putting everything together, the show comes out. The reception is mixed. Some humans and androids don't even want to give it a chance because of the current climate in the world.

In this story, Hank is still working with Connor. Maybe he even adopted him?? He remembers hearing about this show and decides to show it to Connor. They are both pleasantly surprised when they watch it. Connor can relate to it on a level he didn't with any other movie/series about robots he consumed.

RK900 or Nines (as the fandom likes to call him) is working with Gavin. They can be lovers or not, it's up to you. Regardless of their relationship status, Gavin shows Nines the show (if you watched the fan-made movie, it's the scene where Gavin tells Nines that they should watch I Robot so Nines can relate to something).

I believe Nines would be more affected by the show (much more than Connor) since he is more stoic. It would help him realise he doesn't need to be more talkative to show people he cares.

If the RK boys run into the reader, they will definitely try to strike up a conversation. Connor will have a much easier time, but I feel like Nines wouldn't waste this opportunity since this might be a once-in-a-lifetime kinda thing.

The reader would be uncomfortable talking about their acting since they are very self-conscious, but they would be very pleased to hear they were able to help someone, even if just a little.

I'm not a writer, so I will leave this idea I had here in case someone is interested. I am aware some people on this site take fic requests, but I'm honestly not comfortable asking strangers for favours. If you decide to write a fic about this, please tag me. I would like to read it.

Could you do Thrawn x reader Tarkin, tarkins surviving daughter. They met in the academy with Eli, but parted ways for different assignments. Now she was on the ship with Ezra when he took Thrawn away. How did their relationship evolve?

Thrawn x f!reader

You walk with an assured pace. People are screaming all around you and losing their calm. You hear orders screamed in the loudspeakers and officers gathering ensigns to the closest escape pod. 

You snarl.

Amateurs.

You head towards the bridge without diverting from your path, forcing others to avoid you, decided to get explanations about what just happened on the Chimaera. The bombarbing of Lothal started and quickly came to a halt and the ship trembled terribly, like an enormous mass just took it in its palm. 

Grand Admiral Thrawn better have convincing answers to give! Such incompetence is unheard of.

You arrive at the door of the bridge, closed, with troopers getting busy on the control panel.

“What is happening?” you demand with an imperial voice.

“Lady Tarkin, a jedi appeared and stopped the operation on Lothal. He’s inside with the Grand Admiral and the crew.” the highest one answers you, panting.

You bite the inner of your cheek. A jedi? The one Thrawn captured? Or another one? Either is unacceptable.

You feel your heart getting compressed. A rogue jedi can cause so much damage and you feel a tingle of fear for Thrawn, the crew is replaceable but a genius like him only sees the light of day once each millenia.

“Open the door.” you order.

“The jedi is blocking it.” He explains.

You slowly turn towards him, shooting him with your gaze.

“Open. the. door.” you repeat with ice in the tone.

You do not care how but they are tools of the Empire, what use could they have if they can’t even open a door?

“I… Yes, Lady Tarkin.” he bows his head submissively and goes to give a hand to his team to open the large panel.

You take out your RK-3 blaster with a devious grin, Thrawn recommended it to you and you usually give credits to his words. Time to see if he was right.

Behind you a trooper arrives on a speeder to report to their superior.

“Sir, several escape pods are blocked by what appears to bee enormous tentacles and the crew can’t get out, a team is already working on it but we would need to access the consoles to fire the weapons.”

“I know! The door is blocked, we can’t access the consoles for now.” the superior explains while you're losing your patience.

At that moment the Chimaera is shaken like an earthquake started, which is impossible because the ISD is in the air. What is happening here?

“The door!” You insist, shouting.

“We’re doing our best Lady Tarkin, but-”

“Save it!” You spite.

You seize the speeder and launch yourself full speed on the door. You burst through it, tearing the metal apart, sliding across the bridge.

“Wow!” you hear a young voice.

You were not ready for the spectacle inside. You see the young Bridger holding what’s left of the door closed, looking at you with round eyes and mouth agape and Thrawn being constricted by some tentacles of an unknown creature that bursted through the bay while the Chimaera is speeding away at lightspeed to an unknown location. Thrawn looks at you with surprise, none of them expected to see someone exploding the door apparently. You aim at Bridger with your blaster, gaze deadly.

“Release him.”

“Never!” he dares answer back.

Your nostrils flares and you furiously walk towards him ready to use your fists on the teen if need be. His gaze hardens and the hand that holds the door back is directed towards you, you suddenly feel something compressing your throat, chasing the air out of your lungs. You aim at his head.

“Do it…” you tempt him, losing your breath. “You won’t have time to stop my balster ammunition.”

“There is no need to come to such extremes.” Thrawn suddenly speaks. “Release your target, both of you.”

Bridger squints but doesn’t release you. And you don’t lower your arm. You’ve seen it. Whatever he’s doing with the force, it’s taking a toll on his body and he will soon pass out. You just need to hold on. you see him tremble lightly, sweat starting to roll on his temple, him too is panting for air.

“Release them both, kiddo.” says the staff sergeant trooper, putting his gun at point blank range of Ezra’s head. The kid opened his eyes wide, gasping in surprise.

Like you expected, he was so focused on you and keeping Thrawn prisoner he forgot about the troopers on the other side of the door. 

The pressure around your throat disappears and the tentacle holding Thrawn loosen, letting him go. You take a big breath, calming your beating heart. You observe as the troopers shackles Bridger, while soothing your throat. You feel a hand on your shoulder.

Thrawn.

He looks at you with a hint of concern.

“Are you alright?” he asks under his breath.

You squeeze his hand discreetly.

“I am. Thank you. And yourself?”

“I think I might have a rib cracked.” He says nonchalantly, but you know him enough to detect the pain in his behavior.

Without a word you pass his arm around your shoulder to offer him support and help him to the medbay. 

“What are your orders, Grand Admiral?” ask the sergeant as you walk past them.

“Help the wounded, gather the unarmed troops to remove the fragments. And him…” he says, exhaling painfully, looking at a strangely calm Bridger “Throw him in a cell, I will deal with him later.”

“It’s useless. Whatever you do,I have succeeded.” He calmly states, without pride but an insolent arrogance. You’re tempted to hit him with your blaster.

“I am a Grand Admiral of the Empire. As long as I stand I am undefeated.” Thrawn ends the matter.

The troopers finished to open the door properly and you walk through the corridors silently like an island of tranquility among the chaos around the Chimaera. You hear Thrawn’s short breath as you walk, you proposed to him to find him a stretcher but he refused. You help him to lay down on a bed of the medbay and start ordering the functioning droids to take care of their Grand Admiral.

“Stay.” he says softly.

So you sit down beside the bed with a deep sigh.

“Now what?” you ask, grazing his hand

He contemplates the ceiling as his wounds get dressed, taking your hand in his.

“Now, we survive.”

2024 and idiots still want to say that RK was PR despite the fact that they did everything they could to remain private and avoid being photographed. Never flaunted their relationship. Despite the fact that Rob was clearly head over heels in the early years of RK (he's never acted like that before especially not with S), despite the number of times K has talked about the relationship especially howard stern. Despite the fact that Hardwicke and so many cast members and crew have spoken about them and the fact the studio was originally against the relationship and tried to split them up. I mean for PR the studio has to be in agreement lol. Atp anyone who believes otherwise is an idiot cause RK was real whether you like it or not. I learned to ignore that BS a long time ago. The people that say those things are lazy sheeple, IMO, and would rather believe what they read in a lying tabloid rather than discover the truth for themselves. A lot of them tend to choose to blindly follow simply because it's easier.

Not replacing anyone! Just putting some feelers out for Detroit: Become Human roleplays, because lately I’ve been craving some heart-wrenching, tooth-aching, angsty-fluffy OCXCanon goodness.⭐

More specifically, I’m looking for someone to write Connor in a post-canon peaceful good ending type of setting. Give me a story where androids’ rights are finally being granted, but are still hanging in a delicate balance, where the world is still trying to adjust to this new normal, give me tension and high stakes and the hope of a better future. Give me Connor desperately scrambling for purpose, ridden with guilt and grinding himself to dust trying to find redemption, but instead stumbling on someone who feels just as lost and isolated from the other androids as he is. Just these two people who are so very different, finding something familiar in one another, and the slow-burning push and pull that ensues. You get the vibes.

I also really enjoy doubling up, and I have very little preference for which canon characters to write, though I do have a little bit of a soft spot for both the Jericho crew and any of the other RK models.

What you can expect from me: - Lots of plotting and a story that goes beyond just the relationship between our characters - Lazy lit to literate writing, though I try to match length and am pretty flexible depending on what the scene requires - Chill expectations for response time, please don’t burn yourself out - Equal excitement for both sides of the rp. After spending a long few months in Jericho, working their asses off to get android rights to a good place The Jericrew decide to visit the countryside and stay in the first fully fledged android town, fondly called Pacis. How will their relations develop now that they can finally take a break from it all?

Carl noticed that Markus woke up with a bit of a pep in his step the next morning. He knew he’d be headed with his crew on vacation tomorrow, but this was something different. “Someone’s happy.” He commented, gently with a fond smile. “Good morning to you too, Dad.” Sighed Markus, rolling his eyes. “What? Is a father not allowed to notice his son being happy?” “Only once I’ve woken up more.” “Right, right, good morning Markus.” “How are you feeling this morning?” “Good, good. Star’s got me on some new medication so I’m in pain less and I managed to finish a new art piece for Jericho that you’ve been wanting.”

Markus perked up at this. “Really?” “Yes, the one for the meeting room we discussed.” “I’m so glad! It’s going to look so much more homely and professional!” “Indeed, though I’m sure it’d look just as fine with your own work Markus.” “Daddd, we’ve been over this, I’m going to do some art for Jericho once I come back from my vacation but I also want some of your art up.” “I know, I know, I’m just reminding you.” “You don’t need to remind me-” “Okay then, let’s talk about why you’ve got a stupid smile on your face.” “Dad-” “Were you up talking to someone last night?” “Dad-” “North?” “Ew-” “What? An hour would pass of Markus laid with his head in his Dad’s lap, talking his heart out about his dear friend Connor. Carl was believing him less and less with every word about this supposed friendship. He’d never been one for romance in his youth, much more interested in the thrill of intimacy then the love from it but he could see clear as day that Markus had a crush on Connor. The two had a connection from both being RK’s and Markus obviously appreciated Connor’s drive and advice for work in Jericho. If Markus was the supposed Jesus of Androids then Connor was John, the beloved, the one that Jesus loved. Something was going to happen on this trip and Carl wished his health was better so that he could join the trip and have first row seats to the event. Oh well. He’d probably get a tirade of messages from Markus when he finally realises what he’s feeling. That would be amusing.

Markus would eventually have to get up and head to pack his bag for tomorrow. He’d spent the day prior finishing up work and doing a couple sketches in the notebook Carl had gotten him on the anniversary of him fleeing the dump. It’d been a hard and painful thing to overcome, he still had bad days where his limbs didn’t feel like his own and he woke up from nightmares where he’d been back in that awful place. But it’d been the start of everything he was working towards, the start of the revolution, the start of his role as leader, the start of his independence. It was something to be proud of. Said dump was one of Jericho’s main working sites right now as they worked to save decommissioned androids as well as carefully transplant any working components from androids who didn’t want to be saved. Some of them had been there for years… The trauma was too much… The pain they were in would only get worse with any form of intervention. So, they would be given a day to think over what they wished to do, as well as decide if they wanted to donate any of their components and then they would be peacefully laid to rest permanently in the slowly growing graveyard that would replace the android dump. Markus’ heart ached for these individuals… to be so broken that healing would only hurt you more… It sounded awful. But he understood… in a way. There were many times in his journey to this point that lying down for the rest of however long would’ve been very nice. Very nice indeed. But he had a job to do and friends and family to get back too. So, he’d keep marching forward until he ran out of reasons to do so. And for now… if he was being completely honest his main reason currently… was to get to know Connor better. Something would come of their friendship, he knew it in his thyrium pump. He wasn’t sure what but he knew it would be good. This vacation would be amazing, with his friends, with the time away from work and the opportunity to meet a whole separate community of deviants. Good things were around the corner for all of them. He just had to make sure everyone was ready for tomorrow, so he’d spend the rest of the day messaging North, Josh and Simon to make sure they had everything they’d need for tomorrow. Simon was already packed like himself and Connor. Josh was working on it too! North was also working on it, she definitely hadn’t just started because of Markus’ message- Haha. That’d be silly. Markus shook his head fondly at her scattered messages and went to make dinner for himself and Carl. Tomato soup for Carl and a bowl of thyrium for himself. Would it be more efficient to drink the thyrium? Yes, but it was nice to sit with Carl and ‘eat’ with him after a long day. So, that’s exactly what he got to do.

hi! first off i love your blog. as a certified lp expert, i was hoping you could help me understand a few things. i'm reading the secret diary of laura palmer (beautifully written but so so heartbreaking) and i guess i'm having trouble understanding the division between bob and leland. was leland always bob from the start of the abuse? how much was leland vs bob? how did laura know bob's name, as written in her diary? when does the veil between them lift? i haven't watched the show in a while so i don't remember how clear it makes these things. thank you so much! i'm really enjoying (or... something like that) this read and i might be back to hear your thoughts when i'm done!

firstly, thank you for saying nice things about my blog! secondly, i am happy to answer your questions, but with a major disclaimer: that i can only tell you how i read things, and that i basically… do not pay attention to anything that ma/rk fr/ost was in charge of [i.e. most of s2]. i do not think he understood the show’s ethos and i think there’s an excellent reason that the return literally introduced time travel to retcon it entirely. to put that as kindly as i can.

(also, like, this is an rp blog, and i’ve been writing laura for years, so inevitably there are going to be ideas that i’ve gotten in my head that i fully think are ‘canon’ that i’ve just forgotten i made up. obviously, i’ll try to keep that to a minimum, but it could happen. i’ve read the book several times, i’ve seen the movie… well, i seem to see it at least a few times a month, but i’m not much of a “here’s the receipts” kind of guy. alas.)

so, anyway: bob. like all the lodge spirits / entities / whatever you want to call them, he does exist. and — like all the lodge spirits, again, if i were guessing — he’s been a presence in laura’s life since she was a little kid (pre-diary). she writes about that a bit at some point. he’s this guy she knows, probably from around the great northern, who befriends her and plays games with her and grooms her, basically. she refers to him as a friend of her father’s. so that’s how she knows his name and his face. if that description reminds you of another guy, well! i think it should! but we’ll get to that eventually.

now, the other aspect of the spirits is that yes, they can inhabit people — and yes, we know that leland has been bob’s host for most of his life. i DON’T know the specifics of how that works, physically: obviously, we’ve seen bob where we know leland isn’t, but it’s usually in the black lodge / the Other Place in general. but we also know that laura has access to those places well before she is confined to them, so. you can run yourself ragged in circles on that one. but the way i see it, it kind of just doesn’t matter. one of the main threads of the show is that humans create their own problems (like, the reason the gang ended up on earth to begin with was because they were part of the nuclear fallout from the trinity test / the manhattan project: in this specific sense, albert is spot-on when he says “maybe that’s all bob is: the evil that men do”). the spirits clearly do have influence of a sort, but when it comes to actually manipulating human behavior, their track record is shit (consider that the giant, presumably the de facto leader,  spends almost literally ALL his screen time desperately trying to get coop to make better decisions — at some points honest-to-god waving his hands in the air and yelling “no!” — to absolutely no avail). 

another thing about the lodge crew is that they all seem more or less morally neutral: they are not ‘good’ or ‘evil’. they have their own agendas and personalities — they maintain, as a group, a sort of cosmic balance ��  but mostly, they’re just trying to vibe. and bob is kind of like a chaos spirit. he wants everybody to give into their worst impulses just so he can see what happens (and, yes, literally feed on those emotional repercussions). he sucks. but if his host had been a completely different person, his influence would have also looked much different (this is something else that tp:tr expands on: still a violent piece of shit, but a far cry from devoting his life to tormenting little girls). so to answer, i suppose, the ultimate™ question here: it’s always leland. it is never not leland. if leland were the kind of man who would actually be repulsed by these actions, he wouldn’t be doing them. bob might be enabling him, but he is not controlling him. the film confirms this quite eloquently, i think. lynch is careful to only ever show bob when it’s decidedly Laura’s Point of View / Laura’s Perception, because what he is, essentially, is her boogeyman. he was this weird and unpleasant presence in her life at a formative time, and he then became — when she could not process what was truly happening to her and dissociated from it — THE weird and unpleasant presence in her life. and if you ask me, there are several points throughout the diary where she does seem to realize the truth about her father, only to re-repress it (this also happens in the film itself: the first time we see her confronted with his identity, she freaks out, but then she pushes it down, not having a safe way to do anything else). the ‘veil’ between bob and leland is really just laura’s ability to comprehend that there IS no true veil between bob and leland. 

i also suspect that laura’s dissociation / psychosis likely does not only ‘absolve’ her dad, but also ben, whose intentions she seems completely in the dark about until very late in the book, which… does not make much sense, if you’re reading her mental state any other way, since even audrey — hindsight being what it is — tells cooper that he’d probably been abusing laura for a long time. so for me (i.e. what i’m doing on this, my rp blog, at least), ben and leland fall together under a sort of Bob Umbrella. they’re always enabling each other and competing with each other and they’re both just fucking horrible people. they’re supposed to be her family. they’re supposed to look out for her. and she just cannot make it make sense that they wouldn’t — her whole world has been constructed around it! so generally, when laura is looking at them and seeing this kind of fairytale villain from her childhood, it isn’t that they aren’t present: it’s that she isn’t.

the same goes for when she’s writing ‘as’ bob in her diary: like, yes, it’s very real to HER, but he is not literally, factually, an omnipotent being who can read and control her mind. i think that people tend to fall into a trap here where they feel like believing laura means taking for granted that she’s a reliable narrator, and she just isn’t. there’s no scenario in which she would be. she’s telling you the truth as she understands it, but the truth is that there’s so much she doesn’t understand. that she can't. she’s just a kid. she thinks she has so much agency that she doesn’t actually have, and — since once, she actually WAS a very ‘normal’, well-adjusted child — she trusts people. she trusts the adults in her life to look out for her, even when they’re literally trafficking her (one of the most haunting bits in the book, imo, is when she’s basically like, “yeah, leo has his issues, but he likes me! i’m pretty sure he’d have my back if anything bad ever happened!”… and then he’s, you know, the one person who could have potentially saved her life that night, but instead he just tied her up and left her there).

so... yeah. i hope this helps! there's perpetually more to dig into with peaks, depending on what your interests and opinions are, but i tried to keep to what you were asking and, obviously, my focus here is laura and what makes the most sense for her narrative, specifically.

If your whumpers and whumpee's switched places (for example Mel tortures Mercury and Sahota grooms Vic) What would change?

(assuming they swap roles and take on a more villainous stance but keep the same basic personality)

Melchior would have to be a more extreme "well-intentioned extremist", knowing he can do what the Riot Kings can't and usurp the Fleet's control if he stops holding back. In this case, he'd take Mercury prisoner to get her out of the way as the RK's leader, but wouldn't actively torment her. Just kinda... keep her locked up. At worst, he'd look the other way while his men hurt her.

Lex as a CEO would take a more intimidating and cutthroat approach to staying on top. Uriah as an assassin (how would he even survive 😭) would probably be a lot more sneaky and relying on false pretenses. Instead of constant threats and emotional manipulation, Lex would be pretty physical. Expect lots of manhandling and immediate punches/backhands in response to defiance.

James and Peter are already a reversal but James would make Peter a prisoner for attempted mutiny. Keep him shut up in the brig and have him flogged in front of the crew to dissuade any future mutineers and maintain order.

If Vic agreed to be Sahota's apprentice (as in canon with his mentor), he'd be pretty good about following orders, only needing occasional correction. (Sahota would probably favor stress positions or sleep deprivation. Mostly hands-off stuff.) If, like Sahota, Vic was there unwillingly, it would take a lot more work to get him to obey.

The Nest and Pale City Scrappypastas

So, a few months back I came up with and proposed an idea of a 'what if' scenario or idea for an AU where the Maw is sinking and Six has a time limit to get through the game (and RK too), and Six uses her suitcase bed as a raft and any Nomes she hugs are taken on as crew-mates. Well, I've thought of 'disastrous' states of the Nest and Pale City that I wanted to share with people that I'm probably not going to make content of, but allow everyone to make content of their own of instead. Saying that, dare I say that people could even use these premises as a follow-up to Six escaping from the Maw in 'Sinking Maw'.

So I got this idea for the 'ruined' state of the Nest from Rain World, this idea is that Six is sailing on the sea, (either on a boat that was bringing Guests to the Maw but she killed them and took it over, or got her own raft somehow, or her suitcase raft from 'Sinking Maw') and she winds up passing by the Nest, or rather where it used to be. This premise is that some time after VLN, the rock formation of the Nest broke and collapsed into the sea. Six doesn't plan to return to the Nest, she just happens to pass by it, and all she can see is the bottom of the rock formation as a stump sticking out of the water, and perhaps some debris of the house itself floating in the water.

(Look at it, the rock formation is pretty much begging to break)

And perhaps when the Nest appears onscreen in this collapsed state, music like this would play: 

This would probably shock people who have played or seen VLN and now see the Nest in this destroyed state, and this music would fit perfectly with it.

And I've also thought of a 'ruined' state of the Pale City, this idea I got from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky. This premise is that post LN2, time in the Pale City has stopped entirely. Previously, time was distorted, but now instead, it's stopped altogether.

Imagine it: being after LN2, the characters that Mono and/or Six killed are still dead, and the city has gone about its business, but at some point after Six left, time just stopped. Debris of the run-down buildings and falling Viewers stuck in midair, characters in the middle of doing something but frozen in action. Like the teacher could be writing something on the chalkboard and the Bullies hurting each other (as they typically do), and Viewers watching TV, but none of them are moving (and not even falling if they were in midair as time stopped). And even the drops of rain in the post-school part of the city are stuck in place in the air and sky.

A character who wasn't in the city when time stopped (maybe Six if she returned there for any reason, which could serve as a follow-up to 'Sinking Maw' and 'Collapsed Nest') would still be able to move and interact with a number of the things frozen in time, like they'd probably need to push the stuck rain drops out of their way, which would make the rain drops obey gravity again, but they'd stay in their rain drop state instead of splatting on the ground. Everything in the Pale City is now nothing but a tableau for the protagonist (possibly Six) to walk around in and gaze (possibly in horror) at.

I can't quite think of a name for this premise but perhaps it could be called something like 'Paralysed Pale City'.

Just like with 'Sinking Maw' these are purely ideas that I probably won't make any content of, but wanted to share and welcome people to make content of their own of these two additional premises that could fit with 'Sinking Maw'. Side note: I have another and far, FAR bigger community AU in the works (and have had for over a year now), of which I do plan on making my own content of and I'll upload the 'initial/introductory content' of after the first 2 sequels of Rewind AU.

The moment Connor converts androids in the tower he's one of the leaders of Jericho (as Jericho crew dead route confirms). The androids may answer to Markus but Connor was their "savior". I got the impression they would look up to him in a way.

There's a very curious thing about all this that I assume the game didn't explore. The fact Connor can convert androids to begin with.

In Markus dead route he talks about the plan on infiltration with North and she just... Act like there ain't nothing that WOW related to that (conversion). She knows who Connor is, his reputation as deviant hunter. But does she know about him being an RK? Did she had doubts about him being "other of the conversion thingy androids"? Was she ever sus about him being related to Markus in this sense?

Cuz in Spare Parts she's "wtf?" and sus af when she sees Markus converting those androids. But after some times she's just "ok, cool af", she knows the androids will look up to him and wait for his instructions after conversion (as per timeout dialogues).

I know Connor knows he's a RK like Markus and he copies what he did cuz he knew there was a probability he could do the same (start a chain conversion like Markus). But is the opposite ... A thing? Does Markus knows Connor's nature besides the deviant hunter thing? He doesn't comment about Connor infiltrating the tower talking about shift power balance (technically saying he gon wake up the androids). But knowing not even Josh or Simon comment about it (related to Markus) I guess they didn't have the time to ask questions.

And I think especially after the resume control attempt it's better if they all talk about all this as soon as possible.

Adding Twist to the mix, cause I love her.

Sure thing! I'll post it along with some additional notes about Twist in the Red Kraken verse (which will probably be especially necessary)

So first off, a quick note: the Twist that exists in CPU Kerfuffle is a different variation of this character, which I've mentioned before. Mostly a version of Twist without most of the backstory (and also a lesbian with Chili's while Twist in the canon of the main story isn't interested in relationships and considers herself aro/ace). Here's Twist's deal, which I might have told before, but screw it you guys get it again.

Now to talk about Twist herself and who she is/what her arc is, this one is interesting because I'm not certain how I'm going to resolve it quite yet. Here's what you need to know. In the world of the RK, magic exists, but it is incredibly difficult to perform if you aren't already magically inclined. And most people are not magically inclined at all, so therefore performing magic is nigh impossible. There are some people who have some inclination towards magic, and it's possible for them to learn magic, but it requires a lot of work and dedication, and even then the level of magic that can be performed is still quite minimal. But even fewer people (hardly anyone) are simply born with a strong magical inclination to the point where magic comes naturally to them. Not only are they able to perform magic with ease, but they can perform much more significant feats.

Twist falls into that final category. Big time. She was born with an incredibly high magical affinity. So high that she was considered one of the most powerful mages in the world. Not only that, but she was found to be incredibly charismatic and sociable as well! Because of this, her parents made it a point to raise her to become a teacher to help those with less magical inclination to be able to properly learn magic.

But she didn't want to live that life. In her heart of hearts, she loved music. This caused a bit of a schism between her and her family's otherwise stable and supportive family life, with Twist wanting to live her own life while her family believed that she should use her incredibly rare innate talents to benefit the greater good of society. She ended up making a deal with the Red Kraken to avoid ever pillaging her hometown ever again, and in return she would join their crew, using her magic as a valuable asset (mostly making said deal because she wanted to run away from her home)

Then while the Red Kraken crew was busy going up against an elder god (kind of a long story), due to her magical abilities being integral to the encounter, the elder god ended up living on within her. This gives her the side effect of now being without question the most powerful person in the world, with the added caveat of said power being very difficult to control (but she's dealing with that).

Right now, the theme for her arc sort of falls into "with great power comes great responsibility", and specifically how that plays into her own agency. When you innately have that much power, are you bound to that responsibility? Is it possible to simply ignore that power and live a life of your choosing? Again, still deciding the best way to resolve this conflict of hers and evolving her character somewhat, but yeah thats twist
